WHAT’S FANTOM ABOUT?

Fantom is an online community for fans who enjoy collecting and trading digital trading cards. Collectors swap and collect online assets in Film, TV, Music, Popular Culture and lots of other fun categories. You can create your own profile, make new friends from all around the world, trade and collect digital cards in a safe virtual community. We’re absolutely committed to creating a safe and fun environment. Fantom is completely free to play and we’re always adding great new decks so get collecting today!



WHAT IS KIDZONE MEMBERSHIP?

If you are under 13 and register for a Fantom membership, you will automatically become a KidZone member. As a KidZone member you have full access to all Fantom related games and features. You can access other members’ Profiles and Swaps Piles, however, in the Fantom KidZone you can't write any content on your own wall or interact with other non-KidZone members. You can still trade with your own friends. You’ll need to get permission from a parent or guardian when you register.



WHAT INFORMATION IS INCLUDED IN A FANTOM PROFILE?

  • Your own Profile page where you can write about yourself and your interests
  • Your own avatar card (photos are not permitted)
  • Access to other members' Profiles, Swaps Piles etc.
  • Friends list
  • Message services with other Community members


DO YOU HOLD MY CHILD’S PERSONAL INFORMATION?

At registration we ask for your child’s date-of-birth. This is to help us direct children under 13 towards the StaySafe version of the site. Your child can fill out their profile by giving us additional information. This includes: their gender, and the country in which they live. They can choose not to reveal this information to other players, or to restrict access to this information to their friends on Fantom. You child may also give us their email address and/or mobile phone number. We use email addresses solely to provide updates on Fantom Decks and Product enhancements. Mobile phone numbers may be used to top-up your virtual wallet on Fantom through a pay-by-mobile payment gateway. The pay-by-mobile payment gateway is not available to StaySafe users, so your child will be unable to make unapproved cell-phone spend in StaySafe mode.



WHERE CAN I FIND FANTOM’S SECURITY GUIDE FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS?

We’re totally committed to keeping Fantom a safe and secure online community. We consistently do everything in our power to keep it that way through moderators, automated filtering of messages and a zero tolerance policy for any member stepping outside our strict rules. We’ll always encourage your participation as parents and guardians and encourage you to regularly monitor your child’s internet usage. IS FANTOM FREE TO PLAY?

Fantom is completely free to play. You can start collecting and trading straight away. You can earn Fantom coins for free by collecting specific cards along the way and trading with your friends. We award FantomCoins for a range of actions, including Logging In; Sharing your Success via Facebook and Twitter; Confirming your Contact Details. If you want to register as a Premium FantomFan Member, there’s a monthly charge. Premium FantomFans get 200 FantomCoins and five random cards to trade with every week; plus the chance to gain actual rewards for collecting.



WHY IS THERE A COST FOR PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP?

It can cost a lot of money to operate Fantom, for example, we pay a licence fee to companies to use their images to make sure we always bring you great new decks to collect. While we strive to keep Fantom free to play, we need to cover development costs, salaries, hardware, software etc. We pay for this stuff by charging for some premium membership areas. We’ll always try to keep the prices as low as possible so that everyone can continue to enjoy trading and collecting.



HOW DO I BUY FANTOM COINS?

Go along to www.fantom.co.uk, click on top-up, add your name/address/cell phone number etc. as prompted. You’ll be taken through the procedure which will take approximately two minutes. A unique encryption code will be sent to you via SMS. Enter this code as prompted back on the site and your account is credited accordingly. Children who register as StaySafe users will NOT be able to purchase FantomCoins; Children between the ages of 13 and 16 will be subjected to strict spending limits per transaction, and per month.



WHERE DO I ENTER MY FANTOM PROMO CODE?

Go along to the homepage at www.fantom.co.uk, a pop-up will appear prompting you to enter your code. (The deck image presented may rotate but your unique promo code will activate the specific set based on the promotion). Enter your code and hit redeem. After you log in, you’ll find your new cards waiting for you in your My Decks area.
